Mary Higgings Clark has always been my fav'. My Mum introduced her to me when I became of an age old enough to understand them.
I now have all her collection - old and new.
I haven't read the new ones yet though - her style of writing seems to have lost it's spark over the years - but her older work will have you glued to those pages!
i can agree with that about older stuff better i think that of james patterson -im thinking its because they do about 4/5 books a yr now instead of maybe 2. have read a few mary higgins clarke i find though that i read these quick but still good.

Stitch- A-Long- Twelve days of Christmas by Joan Elliot
I have a number of books out of the library at the moment, to read alongside the summer reads.I managed to get two of the new James Patterson books and a Mandasue Heller that I hadn't read before I also like Martina Cole; Sam you will also like Mandasue Heller and Jessie Keane if you like the 'dark side'. Roberta Kray also writes in a similar style.
As you can see I like crime thriller type books but also read some more gentle fiction such as Debbie Macomber's knitting shop books and Alexander McCall Smith's No 1 Ladies detective agency books.
im going through a james herbert phase at the min love his books have ash on both paperback and cd so i can stitch and listen lol

I love MAry Higgins Clark , do you have a favorite of her novels ? WIll have to Google mine and let you know. Did you know , her daughter AND daughter in law are also both mystery writers ? Carol Higgins Clark and Mary Jane Clark. Carol 's books are very light reads with amusing bits in them.
Sorry , I haven't been able to get the quoting thing to work for me....Othel , [ Wild Dog ] , I'm glad to find another fan of Beverly Lewis ! I love her Amish books. You might also like Shelley Shepard Gray , and Wanda Brunstetter.
