How about a stocking exchange? Everyone has to make a little Christmas stocking can be stitched, sewed, knitted, or papercrafted etc and then you put a little gift inside i.e a skein of floss or some stickers etc etc. Maybe a Christmas placemat exchange also can be stitched, sewn, knitted, papercrafted etc. The Christmas stocking ones are great and you can even buy a Christmas stocking for £1 and decorate it Here's one I did just that for in an exchange on another forum I like that idea, aisles. I like the ornament exchange one too. Anyone decided on group leaders for these yet or they still on the drawing board? Might sign up to both of these myself if I get more info. Never been part of an exchange before, so I'll need to know the rules. ((I'm a cross-stitcher))

I think it is still on the drawing board, just ideas at the minute but there have been some really good ones.
I was maybe thinking September would be a good time to put the groups as most people will have had their holidays and be in the Christmas mood but if anyone thinks we should start earlier shout out.

It's definitely a different way to do things although personally I like to receive more than just one but I do appreciate that can appeal to people who are on a tight budget. Perhaps there maybe scope to run the same exchange but with variations .... Something to ponder. Jacqui Guess a thread for a one to one exchange of cards and a separate one for the multiples could solve that issue ....... ?

September is definitely about the right time to be posting/signing up as it gives a decent amount of time to make the cards or project and still get it out in the post. GOOD LUCK
