I am more than happy to say that I have my first finish of 2016! Even better, it was a)on my WIP list and b)had been kitted up in my stash (fabric, pattern & threads) for at least a couple of years. Pitch dark and pouring rain at the moment, so will have to wait for tomorrow and some daylight to hopefully get a reasonably decent pic.

I'm just over half way through the wedding sampler - chart purchased last year but fabric and threads from stash, apart from one skein of green that I had to buy. I've got until mid-February to finish it so should get it done in time. Then it will on with one for my niece for June followed by another for my second niece for August. I may need to get some fabric for the second one but I'll worry about that once the first one is finished.

It is pouring rain here and overcast, so no sunlight really for taking pictures. The colours in the pic are not really true to the piece. It was stitched on 28 ct 2 over 2 on opalescent jazlyn in Parchment by Enchanting Lair. You can see the true colour of the fabric better here: www.enchantinglair.com/parchment.html The whole thing is stitched in DMC 814.

Loving that fabric LadyA. Congrats on your finish! Wow Sheila, lol. Well, one down - 103 to go! You must have the patience of a saint! I have my first finish for 2016! The Spring Sparrows are finally finished and made a new start on another of Susan Bats bird plates. ((Piccies on the cross-stitching board))

My first finish of 2016 and one thing off my list of goals for the year I have put the teddy storage holder in my little boy's room. I used threads I already had in my stash and charts from a magazine that I had.

Yay, I think that's what I'm going for too, still can't decide if I really want to do max colour, but I'll probably regret it if I don't! I love Fireside Embroidery, I also have that one, it's kitted up and ready to start, but I keep putting it off, I need more hands and more time haha! I have to agree on the new site, it is lovely and so user friendly. I thought I'd looked through it all, but have found artists I'd never seen before, and added to my wish list!
