Well, this is it folks - the last month we have this year to get that stash reduced! How goes it?

I have fallen off the wagon big time - blame the fact that it was my birthday last week and it would be wrong not to spend my birthday money on stash! Four kits have made their way into my stash - they were reduced and it would be so wrong not to grab a bargain! Good excuses? On the plus side I have had 10 finishes this year and I did make my nieces' wedding samplers using aida and threads from my stash!

I have made some progress on my Cirque des Carreaux piece. Not sure if I will finish it by the end of year, but we'll see. I need to spend my stitchy time for the next couple of weeks working on my Christmas ornaments (I've never been this far from done at this point in the year before), but I do have some time off after Christmas and will have some extra stitchy time then, so maybe.

Hmm, not sure I should admit to this, but I will receive about 380 threads for Christmas!!! However this means that a further 4 HAEDs will be fully kitted as I already had charts and fabric. I also went to a stitching weekend retreat in October and came away with 2 pieces of hand dyed fabric. So, my plan is "no more shopping for 2017" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I have finished 2 smallish HAEDs (QS sea unicorns and forest friends) and also the Just Nan Queen of the Needle that's been lurking in my cupboard for years so I think I've done sort of ok, not so much a reduction in stash, but at least not a massive increase!
Lady A I love your Cirque de Carreaux!

well I'm trying to finish my Santa though need to do a Christmas card and finish stuffing Mr twiddles .
Do know I've some Aida coming as xmas gift but I did ask for that instead of just anything.will now just need to see what I'll write for next years to complete though I managed the tiger on a rock and winter watch which both Id had a while and I did learn to crochet this year too .
whatever happens I'll still be popping in as you give me all the push when a project gets a little stale.

Well, my list went to pot this year, lol.
I do have some finishes under my hat and made quite a few gifts this year too which I enjoyed making. Also had a fad on my dolly making and learnt how to make my own doll clothes - which has been fun.
I do have a kit coming for my birthday which I simply adore, so that will be my next venture after I finish my cottage, which will take me through Christmas into the New Year. After that I have plenty of kits I'd like to see done, but what next year will bring is anyone's guess. Santa also has two kits in his sack for me, one a Dimensions and the other a Bothy Threads, but no idea if they'll get started next year.
I do have the Woodland Enchantress started so I'm hoping to do more on that next year, the stocking which I have barely touched all year needs my attention and my BAPS but they'll probably remain WIPS for a while more yet...
I will, of course, make a new list for 2017 and see what off that list I actually get done!
I have been relatively good this year with my stash increase which has been mainly fabby, threads and a few cottons and fabric for my doll making, and I can see next year being about the same unless something really nice catches my eye and I simply must have, lol. I did get some kits as gifts like for Mothers day etc so they've added to the stash pile.
I will need the odd thread and perhaps some fabric next year and I really need to buy some frames for my completed pieces which haven't been sorted yet.

I'll be making a new list for 2017 as well if only to concentrate my mind on what I have lurking in cupboards - must admit that this house moving lark has certainly shown me how much stash I have. Just need to hide it from my daughters!

I was on YouTube last night and enjoyed alot seeing how to do "napkin stitches" and thought that it will not only bring me joy to try this myself but also reduce my big collection of threads, beads and Aida textile

I somehow still managed to enhance my stash significantly this year. I have sooooooo many projects kitted up right now it is almost ridiculous (especially as about 6-8 of them are Mystic Stitch/HAED!). I really do need to try & focus more of my crafty $$$ towards framing next year, instead of stash enhancement!

I have decreased my stash by a quarter - gave it to Barnardo's shop for Christmas. They are having A section for crafts and I have some kits I will never do plus threads and numerous needles. When John took them down, a man who was in the shop looking for something for his wife, was delighted and bought a couple for her birthday.
2017 I am going to get cracking again to finish off 2 pieces and then look at what I have left in my stash. Will need two of you at a time to kick my big b....m.

I did buy the tart tins this year and some of the kreinik floss, 'specially for this project (though I don't really consider anything I buy specifically for the ornaments for the nieces & nephews, since I am usually buying just the "frames" or what I need for finishing, and they are gifts, not for me), but the fabric was from stash (actually, from a project I abandoned and re-started on different fabric), as was the floss, beads & ribbon. I've 6 more to do.

With the exchanges I've managed to use up a wee bit of paper crafting and some aida and a few threads.

I've still all my kits to complete and my 2 blankets to complete, and the jumper dress.
However I've done some work on the jumper dress and the Tunisian crochet afghan this year.
