Usually neither. Pantomimes are nearly unheard of here. There are usually performances of the nutcracker ballet at the two local theatres, but tickets are $$$$.

we have an electric fire with fake flame in our fireplace it's mainly for show as we've central heating but would love a log fire this time of yr.
if you a soft drinks person do you have a glass of alcoholic over christmas or not?

Neither. If we were having a dessert with fruit, it would be a fruit pie or an apple/berry crumble or a cheesecake (or all three!).
Christmas clothing (ie sweater or jammies or socks or slippers?) or no Christmas clothing?

I generally don't eat trifle, since it usually isn't dairy-free, but I'd definitely choose black forest over sherry flavoured. I am so surprised that candy canes are not traditional in the UK. So many of our Christmas traditions originated in Edwardian or Victorian England I had just always assumed that was one of them.
Dessert & tea/coffee immediately after Christmas dinner, or wait a couple of hours?
