Hi bubblers,
I was wondering if anyone had any spare wool that perhaps they no longer need/want.
Any type of wool that I could use as hair for my raggy dolls, DK, 4ply, chunky, mohair etc..
No particular colour, whatever you can spare.
Willing to pay for price of wool and postage, or swap for other crafty items that you may need.
Trying to get wool round my area is proving difficult and I end up having to order online, but you can't really see what you're buying this way. Local charity shops don't have anything either, so I thought I'd ask you!
TIA!

Maybe able to help, I volunteer at our local Oxfam store and they have wool coming in all the time although not in great amounts, some hasn't even had the labels taken off it. How much roughly would you like?

Hi Jacqui,
Well, I don't need much per doll. I have a couple of 50g balls and I've used about a quarter of that ball for one doll, so I only need a few metres for "one head of hair" - even less for my smaller dolls, so any remnants would be ideal really.

I might have some spare yarn but I only use Acylic yarn not animal based yarns like sheeps wool or alpaca.

Our local Oxfam shut down some years ago, we do have a couple of charity shops, but they don't get much in.
