or even heard of one. It's a shawl or blanket made for someone who is old/alone or ill. It's usually knitted but no reason why it can't be made in crochet or even patchwork.
The person who creates it does so thinking/praying for the person they are making it for and send it with all their love to help cheer and let the person know someone is thinking about them. A note saying they are loved and thought of is tied to the love/pray shawl/blanket but it's given without the name of the person who has made it.
My friend was telling me about it and I thought what a lovely idea and wondered if anyone has ever made one or even heard of one?
I've not made one myself, but there are all kinds of knit & crochet patterns for them. They are quite popular this side of the pond. Some churches have groups which make them for hospitals, seniors' residences etc.
