! packet of ready rolled puff pastry (375 packet) Apple sauce 4 oz marzipan 1 beaten egg. apricot jam and a few flaked almonds to sprinkle on top.
1. Preheat oven to220c/ gas7. Line a baking tray with baking paper. 2. Unroll pastry and cut into 8 squares, brush each with egg and put 1 teaspoon of apple sauce in the centre of each one. Roll the marzipan into a sausage shape and cut into 8 pieces, place each piece onto the apple sauce of each one. Fold the corners up to meet in the middle. (a bit like a windmill shape) Brush with egg and place on tray. 3. Bake for 15/18 mins, until risen and golden. Brush the tops with jam and sprinkle with flaked almonds.
