I saw these on the internet while I was looking for Chrsitmas stocking fillers for the kids and I just love these. After searching around I discovered there are from China, with some UK stockists available, and not that expensive either. This one cost me £6.99 (free postage) and for what you get well worth every penny. It took me through Christmas to complete it all spending a few hours each evening, everything you see (except the cat ornament) had to be made from scratch either from paper or wooden components with plastic/paper flowers. Lighting kit and a acrylic glass dust cover was also included in the kit. Even the little slippers were hand made! Excellent kits, highly recommend to anyone who might also love this hobby. Thanks for looking..x

Very cool! I like that a lot. Are there different rooms for teh house? Ie, could you buy several kits & make your own house out of them?
Kelly, what age would you say this is appropriate for? I have nieces ranging from 2-11 years old right now, and there is one that is 9 who I think might like this type of stuff. Would it be too hard for a 9 year old do you think? And can you give a link to the UK stockists pretty please?

It says on the box for ages 12 and over, but I would say 14 years to adult. It depends on how crafty they are, and if they have a great deal of patience. They will probably need help from an adult at times. The pieces are quite small and can be a bit fiddly but the instructions are pictures showing you how to assemble each piece, and depending on the kit there are Youtube videos available for some of them. My daughter Jade (16) had her own kit for Christmas but she's given up on hers. She's done quite a bit but she lost patience with it. She enjoyed putting the furniture together but when it came to sewing cushions and working with fabric she lost interest. The rooms aren't really meant to be joined to make a complete house if that is what you are thinking as there is always an open wall. They are meant to be standalone rooms. If you are wanting a complete dollhouse, the villa's probably be more of an interest. They range from around £20 to £60 here, but you can get them cheaper depending where you shop. I actually bought 2 over Christmas for just £6 each off Ebay but they are China based so have to wait for delivery. Banggood is the main site for them, although Amazon has a few but I found I was paying more for UK stockists, but Ebay is your best place for them. You can get some good deals there as well. Here's links to what you can get:- Bicycle Angel KitNut StationCuteroom DomeFlower town
Single Rooms:-Dining room
BedroomForest TimesThere is loads more, you just need to do a search for them. I'm just finishing a tin design one:- Countryside notesWill all these kits you have to make each component yourself. I have another kit arrived I haven't started yet, I will take a picture of the contents before I start it, so you can see all the bits and pieces you get.

Thanks Kelly. Looks like I'd best wait a couple of years before trying them out as gifts for the nieces. They actually all enjoy crafts, and the oldest 3 at 11, 9 and 9 are all starting to have quite a lot of patience with crafting as well as a good eye. They all do quite a bit of papercrafting with my mom. I was thinking of a traditional house per say, but saw that your room had two full walls, and was thinking that if you had four rooms like a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, you could put the full walls facing each other with the open parts facing out, and by putting four together, end up with a sort of square open house and kind of have made your own house to play with. The nieces like Calico critters, and they are quite small.
