I will try and read the book before watching the film. Otherwise it spoils the book.

Personally if I have read a book and a film is made of it I just know that it will be nothing like what I have read,so I don't even bother to try and fit the book to the film.

i always read the book first, they always leave things out that i thought should have been put in. I agree about the hobbit i dont know how they are going to make it into three films it was just one book. I enjoyed the movies, lord of the rings but they definately cant compare to the books.
