I had to google this one - it will be gorgeous when it is done. From what I've seen, looks like a lot of people have done some individual colour changes to the dress. Are you planning to do that?

I think I will keep her dress as the colour of is in the chart. The thread pack came with the chart so will use those. I have seen some lovely alternative versions of her dress though. Maybe I could do a different colour if I decide to stitch her again.
Thank you Julie. She is 32 count, it's the first one I have done on a 32 count.
I think I have gone a bit Mirabilia mad cos I now have 4 of their charts up until a few weeks ago I had none. She is the first one I have stitched but I have another one that I am ready to start whenever I want Mermaid of the Pearls. Maybe I could have one for stitching upstairs and one for downstairs 😂
Thank you everyone, another update in time for new year.
I wasn’t happy this morning when I came downstairs. I knew instantly that someone had moved her as I had left her laying flat and when I came down she was no longer laying flat. I knew it wasn’t my mum because if she moves her she lays her back down flat and she wasn’t. I knew it wasn’t dad, I don’t think he would dare touch her. We have had my great uncle staying with us so I assumed it was him and when I asked mum she confirmed it was him, not only that but he had been moving her and going through the stuff for her not once but three times! She said she kept telling him to leave her alone but he wouldn’t listen. I wouldn’t mind if he had put her back how he found her and I know he wouldn’t have washed his hands first, I wash my hands several times before picking up my stitching to make sure I don’t get any dirt on my projects. I have been thoroughly inspecting her but the lighting isn’t brilliant so I think I will have to wait for tomorrow for anything to show up if there is anything. I was telling my friend about it over lunch and I think we worked out that I have put in 2-3 months work on her so I will be really annoyed if she has any greasy marks on her.
