8 weeks ago when I last went shopping by myself I popped into Sainsburys and found their loose veggie were cheaper than their pre packed ones. Now I'm all for bargins and I don't like all this extra plastic packaging.
So I put the broccillie and courgettes straight into the trolley without putting them into a plastic bag. When I got to the counter I had to fish them all out to make sure they went onto the conveyor belt together. This made me think I need re usable see through bags that would keep them together and the cashier would be able to see what was in each veggie bag.
I thought I'll be really eco and use recycled materials and use no electric energy to sew them I'll use my hand cranked sewing machine.
I found some lovely net second hand net curtains on ebay only cost me £4.60 including postage. I felt a bit bad as they were lovely and would have been willing to pay more.
Here are the first bags and I still have half a net curtain and a the second one to make more from. Now I found we are doing a 4 sunday series on Eco Church at church so will be making extra bags for those at church who might want some.
