This is such a pretty project! I love all the bright colours and the backstitch really makes it "pop"! I am not sure I would have the patience to do all that back stitching - but in this project it is absolutely important! Great job, Kelly!
That case when backstitch makes miracles. How you can stitch all these light shades, is above my comprehension. There must be sunshine there in your area or what? I am stitching a really bright design while the sun is behind the clouds for weeks. Very well done, Kelly. Are there more shops or is this the last one and soon we will see the whole project done, back stitch and all?
Oh I wish there was sunshine sweetie, but it's all rain, strong winds and it's bitter cold. All of my stitching is done under the artificial light from the chandelier in the lounge, but I do have a cheap floor lamp with a bendy neck in which I've placed a daylight bulb, which helps.
There's one more shop to go after this one, a green one which is a toy shop, but it looks like it'll be a quicker stitch than the others as it doesn't seem to be as busy as the other shops in terms of stitches.
I'm hoping to have the whole set completed by the end of this month and made up into a hanger.
