This recipe makes around 15 to 20 cookies.
Ingredients:-
100g Marg or butter 125g Golden Caster Sugar 200g Self Raising Flour 100g Chocolate (a mix dark, milk and white if preferred) 1 large Free Range Egg ½ Teaspoon vanilla extract Pinch of salt
Method:-
Preheat oven to 170C/Gas Mark 3
Cut two lengths of grease proof paper to fit two baking sheets.
Cream the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until pale and creamy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
Sift in the flour and salt to the mix. Combine well.
Roughly chop and stir in the chocolate.
Divide the dough into 20 shaped balls, Cover with cling film and refrigerate for a good 30 mins.
Once chilled, place the balls onto the lined baking sheets and flatten slightly with your hand.
Place in the hot oven for approx 12 mins (Don't overcook)
Leave to cool and serve with a glass of cold milk.
