Not much to show yet, but finally made a start! Not too crazy on the border but glad I've choose evenweave, as it's quite irregular. The fabric is quite colourful, but it's hard to make out the dyes in the photo. Julie, how are you finding this one? Anyone else doing this SAL?

Not yet started though if I can sort another project off a frame it's next.Thankfully it's beads for all those red dots for if knots I'd give up. I'm looking forward to seeing alice though.
Hoping we get mad batter and Cheshire cat too.
But must do 12days too.

Here's the first column, I would really recommend evenweave for this one though. Will save a lot of time trying to pierce the Aida as the back stitch is quite wild on this one.

Crickey you needle must be working over time.

All the top row is now finished, thought I'd post a piccie before I roll the fabric. The characters themselves actually stitch up pretty quickly, just a couple of hours for each. The border is taking the most time to stitch. I'll continue working on 12 days after, it will have more of my attention once the Woodland and Cottage SALs are done. Theres only two more critters left for the Woodland SAL now, and if no other ones come out that take my fancy, there's a chart I want to stitch by Shannon Wasilieff from the Ultimate Birds Magazine. Got everything I need for it from my stash, I just need an empty frame - it's all beads and metallic thread!

I think it is something about their mouths that makes them look creepy. They are disproportionate to the other facial features and the rest of the character I think.

Hopefully it’ll look better when they blend in to the rest of the design. Both me and OH thought they looked super creepy and ugly..😆 I’ve looked on FB page to see if anyone has adapted the design a little, but the peeps who are as far along as me have gone for the same look as the design asks for.
Honestly I never liked these guys in the book as a child, and back then I found them scary, lol so I was glad to get them finished, 😂
