Is anyone else doing the free SAL from PP for 2021?
I am doing the square one on a pale blue 28 count linen. I am using DMC 3808 for the outlines and DMC 4025 (variegated) for all the fillings! I hope I will like it as much as I did the 2020 SAL which I did using PP's colours.

I'm going to be doing the 2021 PP Sal. I plan to do the rectangle version using the PP colours. I haven't started it yet but my plan is to start at the beginning of February after I have finished the 2020 Sal

Yes I’ll be doing the 2021 sal too. I’m ticking along quite nicely with 2020’s now, I think I’ll start the new one shortly and carry on with last years at the same time.

Good luck with doing two at a time. It should not take too long to catch up. I am excited to start the first week fill-in today for the 2021 SAL.

I've downloaded the first part from my account and some borders. Which way are you doing yours, rectangle or square, both look interesting!

Is this through facebook? The group is, but Peppermint Purple has made all the files available over on the website. Just make an account and the SAl for last year will be available as well. I don't have permission to host the files here, but you don't need Facebook to access the files, just head HERE for the main site. The SAL info is HERE

I have started to put together the threads for this and it looks like I will need to buy at least 6 of the colours.

Well you've twisted my arms 😂😂😂.
I'm going to join you all, though I fancy the square design and if not got all the threads I'll use variegated thread instead on white.

I was going to do this one too, but then I heard of Durene’s new Quaker ball SAL. I didn’t want to have too many projects on at once so I’ll come back to this one another time.
Looking forward to seeing your progress though!..🤗

Helen, I am loving the look of that piece! I am so excited to see them progress as you all work on them this year and I look forward to seeing your finishes!
I'm kind of in the same boat Kelly - I was really tempted on this one, particularly as I've never done blackwork. But then with my sister probably moving into a new place this year and me ordering a bunch of patterns to stitch some artwork for her walls, I've enough on my plate! But I might think about downloading the files to work on at a later date.

May I ask a stupid question: when you have stitched this, what will you do with it? Will it be framed or finished in some other way?

Yesterday I ordered the few threads that I haven't got for this.
i am going to do the rectangle shape so that it matches the shape of the 2020 Sal and then frame them.

May I ask a stupid question: when you have stitched this, what will you do with it? Will it be framed or finished in some other way? A lot of people make then into hangings, like on a bell pull. Some frame then where others turn theirs into cushions. The new square design from PP would look nice as a cushion and I was going to join this year for that reason, but I think I'll just get the files for now and see how my projects go throughout the year.
