Morning All,
Well I can't believe we're halfway through the month already where did that time go.
This week here is quiet one grey at work til Friday day off so it's just me and Albert here. Will be doing plenty of stitching and a little housework in between . I got to try new light out last night and Grey happy as it's not in his face while watching t.v.so that's good for me stitching again while watching crudd.
Hope everyone else has okay week too.
Kelly will you have results from your blood tests?
Joan hope daughter's kitty had settled now in cage rest.
Mmaryg hope your able to go for your walk this week and your knee is back to normal too.

All fine here now that the snow has gone. Had my first Covid vaccination on Saturday. So far no side effects Because of the ice and snow my youngest son took me. I am not keen on driving on ice so was grateful for his offer. He also took me to do my shopping at the Supermarket just incase we had more snow. I don't go far. Just to the corner shop for my paper. That covers exercise too. Hope everyone is well and busy crafting. I am cross stitching The Train of Dreams. It is going to take some time.

Glad to hear you've had your vaccine Maggie and nice of your son to take you shopping after. Had little snow here but I would hibernate if it Did,though usually it does on my birthday so not ruling out getting some more.
Is the train of dreams the kit with croc on train by heaven and earth?

Afternoon all,
Julie glad to hear your light is okay and Grey also happier too! I too hope kitty is doing okay, although I'm sure she's protesting being on cage rest! Maggie, enjoy your cross stitch. Jay wants me to a dragon for him but it a HAED as well and not sure if I'll be able to stick with it. I haven't got as much patience as those of you who can stitch these BAPs.
Today I've swapped needle and thread for diamond painting. Spent a couple of hours with it this afternoon and I've found it quite therapeutic. It's a large design so I'll be at it for a while, but it breaks up the monotony of the day. Back to my stitching after tea, which should be nearly done now.
Have a good evening everyone.

Those diamond painting things tempt me greatly. But I am trying to resist. I really do not have room in the time budget, am already in need of decluttering due to space issues in my flat, and really shouldn't be spending money on yet another hobby! I content myself with finding cool/fun ones and buying them for the elder nieces as birthday/Christmas gifts. Did get the soup and a couple other things done yesterday, although I never did get around to starting Madame La Fee. I'm too tired to start it tonight and too likely to make a mistake, so will read or something tonight instead. Wasn't feeling quite myself yesterday, so went to bed early. Even so, had a terrible time getting out of bed this morning when the alarm went off. Would have liked nothing more than to toss it across the room, roll over under the nice warm covers, and sleep for another couple of hours. And then get up and curl up with a blankie and a cup of hot chocolate on the couch. But not too sure my employer would have approved of that, so dragged myself off to the office. Got home at a reasonable hour today, and did a load of laundry. Have most of it hanging on the drying rack now though, as still wet. Ran it through the dryer, but I am convinced it does not work properly. Landlords say it is fine, the problem is I am overloading the machine. Perhaps they are correct, but I really don't think a load of 5 work tops, 5 days' worth underthings/socks, 2 pjs and 2 camisoles is an excessively large load of laundry!

This week started crazy as per usual. My grand daughter wasn't well yesterday with symptoms that could be Covid - kids don't always have the same symptoms as adults - so my daughter took her to be tested. Results were back early this morning and are negative much to everyone's relief - we can all leave the house again! Jessie the cat is still protesting over being confined to a cage. Little grand daughter has worked out how to let kitty out so my daughter has had to put a padlock on the cage! Little one understands that Jessie has an "ouch" but not that the cat needs to rest. Glad that you seem to have got Jade sorted out Kelly -hopefully she will feel better soon. I hope that they get you sorted out soon as well - not much fun being in pain. I feel your pain with the supermarket Julie. I have started going at 7am as there are fewer people about. There seem to be shortages of some items again - cat food and frozen veg to name a couple! I have bought Pippa a different brand of food and hope that the little monster will eat it! Bread was also in short supply yesterday but they had the one that I wanted so I am set for a week or so. I have an unexpected day without childcare as we couldn't plan "normal" life until the Covid result came back. I have caught up with some paperwork that needed attention and will now get in some extra stitchy time. I am also going to get tea sorted as I have a short late shift tonight and won't finish until 8pm. Bex - glad that Emilia is gaining weight now - it must be a relief to you.

Not a lot happening here. Went for a walk with my friend yesterday but we kept to the pavements and country lanes as I am sure the woods and fields would be quite wet. This meant we were only out for just over an hour instead of our usual 2.5 hours. Needless to say that my knee is okay again.

Evening all,
Was back at the GP's today for another blood test. The results from last week were "inconclusive" as apparently my blood was clotting faster than they could test it, but the U and E test last week came back as "borderline". Hopefully I'll have those new results back tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning.
Not much else done today, other than the GP's office then the pharmacy for Jade's meds, but can't get the over-counter ones she needed, so had to order online. Superdrug hadn't even heard of what I was looking for, Asda's haven't got any at all and Boots was closed.
Tomorrow, I have a new spiderling being delivered. It's coming by next day courier so the little guy isn't in transport for too long. Will post piccies once he/she is settled in.
Then Friday I'm picking up my new glasses, then I'll head to the vets to pick up Trixsey's meds. A bit of a walk there as it's one end of town to the other.
I think I might swap the snow on our forum's main page for rain though! It's not stopped here for 3 days now, and it's not just drizzle, it's really been hissing it down here. My back garden is one giant mud pie, lol. Every time Trixsey comes in from outside she brings half the garden in with her! Thankfully she's used to having her paws wiped with her doggie towel so the muddy paw prints stay confined to the kitchen. Still, it's like coming in from a blooming swamp.
Anyhoo, I'll get in a little stitching now. I'm still not sleeping well, so I'll be up for a few more hours yet, so will get a little more done on 12 days.
Good night everyone, sleep well.

Quiet on here. I hope that means everyone's busy crafting!
The rain has finally stopped here. Thankfully, as I'm in town in a little while.
Hope you are all well.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Had two nice suprises this week. Two friends from church stopped by (social distancing was maintained me in the porch they on the driveway with a huge brolly as it was throwing it down. They'd been for a walk and thought they'd say hello.
Then my best friend (she the sister I never had) sent me a package with a short encouragement letter and a number of photo's from when we were 18-26 years old. One had a background of a kitchen but I don't know who's has it has things in it that are mine and things in it that are Maggies. Most have been the two of us preparing for some event and cooking together in another friends kitchen. I shall have to ask if she remembers.
I still have a couple of Robins that regularly come into the gardens and ask for food one still insists on flying into the conservatory
Hope you like my advatar it's my Garrett laying on his side watching me dance.

Love your avatar picture Aisles. Garrett is such a lovely dog.
I went for the white knee Julie, although I haven't got him yet. They cancelled the delivery at the last minute due to the weather. After the rain we got snow (still snowing now), and they won't sent out in bad weather. I'd rather them be that way than not caring at all, I rang and told them I don't mind waiting. I want the curly hair as well and Jay's okay with it! Not like he has a choice, lol. The curly hair is so cute! She's all fluffy so she's nicknamed the "kitten", lol!
Hope Grey sorts out the new computer soon, for the sake of your sanity as well as his!
I didn't get much sewing done yesterday, the pain in my kidneys was at it's worse all day, the walk round town didn't help either. Still I got Trixsey's meds, although I didn't realise until I got home they've only gave me 40 not 60. I should have known at the time as the price was cheaper than normal, but it didn't click at the time. I've tried at various times this morning to ring them but haven't got through to anyone yet.
Not sure about my new glasses, lol. Guess they will take some getting used to as never had varifocals before. I thought it would be easier than keep swapping between pairs for distance and close up but at the moment I'm not liking them at all. Distance is fantastic, crystal clear, but close up work I'm struggling with. I've only had them a day and I was told it can take a few weeks to adjust to them, so for now I'll persevere.
I'm back at the GP's on Monday, seem to be there more than home just lately, lol. Hopefully I'll have some answers then. I've stopped taking all my meds today except my thyroid meds. Not sure if this is the best thing to do but I have to do something. GP said it's not the meds that's effecting my kidneys, and I'm no doctor, but I wasn't having this problem before, it was my heart that was the problem. I still think it's those BP meds that's the cause of it all even though the doctor is adamant it isn't. I just know I can't go on like this.
As for today, I'll try some stitching this afternoon. I've done another block on 12days so might do some on the kitties today, instead of the Grimm SAL. I pick up the new mag next Tuesday as I've decided to go for the printed copy instead of digital but I have done the border for the first two characters to fit in to, so I'm in no rush.
Hope you all have a crafty weekend. Stay safe and warm.

Had a stitchy finish last night - piccie in my gallery. It's a SAL that I started last October but didn't quite get done in time for Christmas. Grand daughter has just gone home so I'm grabbing a couple of minutes on here before lunch and then I am on shift this afternoon. Really hope that the doctor gets you sorted out soon Kelly - this has been dragging on for several weeks now and must be really getting you down. My elder daughter is booked for her first Covid vaccine this afternoon - she is patient facing and so one of the priority groups for vaccination. She has also done the training to be able to give the vaccine and is awaiting the final clearance to be able to book some shifts - she may as well be doing this as there seems to be no chance of the dance studio being able to re-open in the near future. Take care everyone!
