Goodness, have we all fallen off the wagon? A whole week into February and none of us has anything? I must confess that I've done next to no needlework the last couple of weeks, other than a few hours on my Amazing Grace piece. I have so much stuff to work on, I really MUST get working on something!

Well I had a bit of stash reduction making my angel ornament for the Craft Along. She's made from scrap bits of evenweave and threads so it was a good way to use those small pieces and left overs you save and not sure what to use them for, lol. I'm also doing another project for the craft along at the moment, so that's using up some scrap pieces of aida I had as well. Still plodding on with the kitties and 12 days, and hoping to have the kitties finished soon too. Yay!

Yes I’ve definitely fallen off the wagon! After a good January I’ve now added to my stash in the first 2 weeks of Feb with 3 balls of sock wool and 2 of the new Bothy threads kits (though they haven’t actually arrived lol). On the plus side I’ve started a little kit I’ve had in my stash for years - 1 of Toni Goffe’s little black cats, I’m managing to keep up with PP 2021 sal, and making progress on the 2020 sal, and onto the second sock of a pair for my son

This morning I went to the room in which I keep my stash. I had decided to get rid of all my card making things because I had not made any for several years. I opened one tub and it was full of cross stitching I had done for cards. I pulled them all out and counted. There were 40!!!!! So I got busy and started ironing and preparing them for cards. I found some aperture cards and today I have now made 8! I am so proud of myself. Obviously I am keeping my card making things until I make all 40 - THEN I will give it away. These are the 8 cards I made!

WOW! 40 pieces?!?! That is a lot of stitching! You're going to have a year's worth of fabulous cards by the time you are done making them all up. The ones you have in the picture there are gorgeous!

Wow! 40 pieces stitched for cards - that was a great find!
I have just been rummaging in my stash box to see what fabric I have in there. I have now sorted it all out into counts so all the 14 count is together and so on which should make it easier when I am looking for some fabric to kit up a chart. All I need to do now is get some of it used up!

I did something similar last January Joan with all my craft stuff it took about a month all told but I'm so much happier now as I know what I don't need to what I do.
I'm looking at doing two Lesley teare sal's one is birds and the other is the tea cups as I love a cuppa.
I'm loving doing the blackwork stuff.Though I've also Grimm Sal and kitties and back stitch left on alice so I can't get too bored just now need the depression cloud to shift then I'll be sorted.

Beautiful cards Helen!
I think it must be a fad as I too have sorted out my fabric stash, lol. I am not as organized as to put things in piles of count, lol, but I do now know what I have! I have just ordered a big piece of 14ct for me and Jade to share and a fat quarter of evenweave from me for the SALs - when I finally found a store that wasn't sold out of it!
Julie, let me know when you start those SALs, I'll stitch them with you when the fabric arrives.

Thanks! yes, I am quite pleased with my new "stash" of cards. I have about ten or so to go but they won't get made for a couple of days. It will be nice to open my biscuit tin and find a card whenever I need one!
